Down the Line - the most popular clay target shooting discipline in Australia. DTL targets are launched from a trap house which houses a single trap machine with the shooters positioned 15m behind the trap house. On the call of the shooter, the trap releases a single target going away from the shooter. The targets are thrown at a fixed height but with random left to right angles, (up to 22 degrees either side of centre). However, the angle of the target is not known to the shooter at the time of the call. For standard DTL competition the shooter is permitted 2 shots at a single target. However DTL can be shot in many different forms. For example: Single Barrel - one shot permitted at the target only. Continental - the elevation and left to right angles are varied. Double Rise - 2 targets are released simultaneously. A standard round consists of 25 targets. Practice available every Thursday and Friday from 10am - 5pm and Saturday 9am - 5pm. Competition
